Blink 182 has cancelled or rescheduled all of their May US tour dates after drummer Travis Barker was forced to undergo an emergency tonsillectomy.
Recovery of the urgent procedure is expected to take over a few weeks. That's why the band has decided to reschedule their May 10th and 11th concerts at the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma for September 13 and 14, 2012. All other Blink 182's North American shows in May have been cancelled.
Refunds are being offered for all of the effected shows except the May 19 show at Asbury Park's Bamboozle (also featuring Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi and Skrillex among others).
My Chemical Romance will be stepping in to fill the void on that three-day music festival ticket, according to MTV.
In a statement on the band's website, Blink 182 states:
"The band apologizes for any inconvenience as a result of these cancellations and thanks their fans for their ongoing support."
The group is still scheduled to hit Europe in June for a two-month tour.
