Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr (real name: Richard Starkey) and Dave Stewart, formerly of '80s synth-rock group The Eurythmics, have teamed up.
They musicians are currently working on a musical film called 'Hole in the Fence', which is based on an original concept by the duo.
The musical drama will be a coming-of-age tale about a group of kids who start a musical group in order to escape their depressing mining town.
Ringo and Dave have already sold their musical to Paramount for a film adaptation, Deadline Hollywood reports.
David Harris is currently writing the script based on the concept and original music by Starr and Stewart.
Ringo and Dave will serve as the project's executive producers along with Pam Williams.
It's not the first time the duo are collaborating partners: Ringo recruited Dave to produce his 2008 album 'Liverpool 8', and Dave returned to participate on Ringo's 2012 album 'Ringo 2012'.
No release date or attached actors for 'Hole in the Fence' have been announced as of yet.
