Lady Gaga tops the winners list of MTV\'s 2010 Europe Music Awards (EMA), which took place yesterday at Caja Mágica in Madrid, Spain. The pop sensation took home three awards, for Best Female, Best Pop and Best Song.

Justin Bieber picked up two trophies – winning for Best Male as well as Best Push Act.
Linkin Park (Best Live Act), Thirty Seconds to Mars (Best Rock) and Tokio Hotel (Best World Stage Performance) also picked up a coveted silver EMA globe, and so did Eminem (Best Hip Hop), Ke$ha (Best New Act), Paramore (Best Alternative), and Katy Perry (Best Video).
Shakira received the MTV Free Your Mind award, in recognition of her commitment and dedication to making education accessible for children around the world.
Drummer Tico Torres and his band Bon Jovi received the Global Icon Award. They were responsible for closing the show with a live performance of some of their biggest hits.
