Alexandre Esperet finished the concours before Garrett Mendelow, who won second prize and Youth Jury prize, and Galdric Subirana who scored third place.

About Tromp Percussion
Tromp International Percussion Competition Eindhoven is a biennial international competition founded in 1971. The competition is organized by a foundation created in memory of its namesake Mr. Theo Tromp (1903-1984), a prominent Eindhoven businessman and strong advocate of culture.

A Bigger Bang
The central event of Tromp is the international percussion competition. But it also embodies a weeklong percussion festival with unique concerts and productions, including A Bigger Bang in cooperation with Dutch drum magazine Slagwerkkrant.

A Bigger Bang had a spectacular line-up this year: renowned percussion group Les Tambours du Bronx, Iranian zarb player Mohammad Reza Mortazavi, Slagwerk Den Haag plus The World Drummers Ensemble featuring Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez (Cuba), Sola Akingbola (Nigeria), Selvaganesh (India) and Marcos Suzano (Brazil).
