Drummer Adrian Erlandsson has offically announced his departure from British extreme metallers Cradle Of Filth. Erlandsson has found that his two side projects Needleye and Nemhain are taking up more and more of his time. Hence he has made the decision to leave Cradle Of Filth so he can concentrate more of his energies on them. Comments the drummer:\"I have enjoyed my time with Cradle but it is now time to move on. I feel I am going out on a high as \'Thornography\' is definitely our best album to date. [I need time] to concentrate on all other interesting musical projects that I have going at the moment. The main one is Nemhain. We have just filmed a video for the song called \'Ana\' so keep your eyes open for that. The music in Nemhain is very different to the other stuff that I have been in the past but it lies very close to bands that I grew up listening to, like Ramones, Motörhead.\"
Over the course of the last few months, rumours whispered that Erlandsson was relegated to the status of a session member several days before Cradle Of Filth were to sign a new publishing deal. As a supposed result, the drummer was said to be paid only for time worked and was not entitled to any publishing or artist royalties, though these rumours have never been officially confirmed.
