Sal Abruscato, co-founder of Type O Negative with the late Peter Steele and long-time drummer for Life Of Agony, launched a new band in November 2010. Dubbed A Pale Horse Named Death, Sal's new group just signed a a worldwide recording contract with SPV/Steamhammer. Comments Sal Abruscato:"I am so stoked about joining SPV. I’m looking forward to a fruitful and successful relationship with such a reputable label as SPV."
A Pale Horse Named Death's live lineup does not include Sal Abruscato on drums, but on guitars and vocals.
Drummer Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative, Seventh Void) takes care of all drums and percussion, while Bobby Hambel (Biohazard) and Matt Brown (Supermassiv, Seventh Void) play the guitar and Eric Morgan handles bass.
A Pale Horse Named Death's debut album, entitled 'And Hell Will Follow Me', is currently scheduled for release in June 2011.
