Vater Percussion has welcomed Chad Sexton, drummer and co-founding member of 311, to the Vater artist family. Chad actually began his career using Vater sticks, the 3A in wood tip to be exact. He is currently using a custom prototype stick model from Vater.
Chad, who previously endorsed Vic Firth, is currently gearing up for 311's 11th consecutive summer tour, 'Unity Tour 2013', which will run from July 2nd-August 4th.
With their celebratory live shows, 311 has earned a massive grassroots following. For nearly a decade, they have drawn crowds of 10,000 to 18,000 people in amphitheatres across the United States headlining their summer tours.
311 was formed in 1990 in Omaha, Nebraska but now resides in Los Angeles, California. They have sold over 8.5 million units in the US alone.
