Raquy's music has influences from India, Iran and Turkey. Many of her compositions use the Middle Eastern scales and rhythms. In this album the melodic songs are played by Raquy on the Shah Kemenche, a magical 12 string spike fiddle. Accompanying her are the Turkish saz, the Iranian Setar, Tuvan throat singing and of course, Raquy's specialty the dumbek or darbuka. There are 6 melodic songs and 4 drumming songs featuring the incredibleTurkish Split Hand Technique style darbuka playing by Raquy. Two of the drumming songs feature Raquy's teacher from Istanbul, master darbuka player Bunyamin Olguncan.
