The Poison is the debut studio album by Welsh heavy metal band Bullet for My Valentine. The album was released on 3 October 2005 through Visible Noise Records in UK, and on 14 February 2006 in United States through Trustkill Records.

Produced and mixed by the legendary Andy Sneap (Arch Enemy, Skinlab, Testament, Earth Crisis, Napalm Death). The band has already notched up nearly 30,000 sales of their debut mini album as well as a top 40 hit with '4 Words'.
The album features 13 tracks of epic riffage surrounded in a defiantly current metallic miasma in addition to this we have a fantastically intimate enhanced section with backstage footage of the band.
