On their debut studio album Outta Here (2002), released when many members were still students or recent graduates of the Berklee College of Music, Lettuce introduced their original eight-piece lineup to the world.

Erick “Jesus” Coomes: Bass.
Neal Evans: Hammond B-3 organ and keyboards.
Ryan Zoidis: Alto and tenor saxophones.
Sam Kininger: Alto saxophone.
Rashawn Ross: Trumpet.

This album laid the blueprint for their classic sound, driven entirely by an obsession with vintage, analog funk and soul records. It features early versions of tracks like “The Dump”, which would become a live staple for decades.
