Unification (released in 1998) is a significant album for Black Uhuru, marking the group's first studio project after Duckie Simpson won a legal battle for the rights to the band's name. It introduced a new vocal lineup and utilized a rotating cast of high-profile Jamaican session musicians rather than a single fixed backing band.

Mikey Spence (on "Here Comes Black Uhuru", "Can't Fight It", and "Hail Tafari").

Firehouse Kru (handling drums/bass/keys on tracks 2–5 and 11–12).

Production
The album was produced by Derrick "Duckie" Simpson in collaboration with King Jammy (Lloyd James), who handled much of the recording at Jammys Recording Studio in Kingston.
