Mclaughlin’s Mahavishnu Orchestra was a ground breaking fusion group that essentially “wrote the book” on fusion. John Mclaughlin wowed fans with an uncanny technical command of the guitar, in the context of brave compositions, played in combination with other ensemble instruments to create a progressive fusion orchestra.



Celebrated fusion producer Jeff Richman has assembled a phenomenal band featuring Richman on guitar, Vinnie Colaiuta on drums, Kai Eckhardt on bass, Mitch Foreman on keys and Jerry Goodman on violin, the latter three of whom were featured members of Mclaughlin’s band at different points of his career and provide exciting, cohesive rhythms to the material, creating a brilliant musical landscape from which this collection of stellar soloists aptly build upon.
