Songs for the album are chosen out of the extensive duo repertoire written by Juliette and Jaap. The album features some of the intimate duo pieces in their original form. The other songs are arranged for a band. The skilful guest musicians have been "recruited" from some of Holland's most popular bands like Charles Nagtzaam, who is bass player in Frank Boeijen's group. Seven Eleven's drummer Hans van den Hurk joined Jaybeez for the recording sessions. Percussion player Martin Verdonk is very well known for his work with Prince, Santana and Steve Winwood. Keyboardplayer Tom van Beers contributed to the project playing his moody and swinging vintage keyboards like Fender Rhodes and Hammond Organ. It is obvious that guitar player Jaap Berends both great rhythm and solo guitar playing are of major importance for the album "Peel me" as a whole. Conductor Martin Fondse arranged four songs for strings. His brother Maurits and Juliette Brans supplied backing vocals.
