Making music has been my greatest passion since childhood. I started playing the drums at the age of five, and I haven't stopped since. From years of private lessons in Meppel to a vocational (MBO-4) music program in Zwolle, I am constantly working to deepen and broaden my skills. />
With experience in genres ranging from rock, metal, and pop to Dutch-language music and hip-hop, I am a versatile drummer. I am the regular drummer for Marieke Schenk; I performed with her at ESNS Groningen and will be playing over 25 shows with her during Popronde in the autumn of 2026. Previously, I played with the rock band GRUIS, as well as TITT'N (including a performance at Zwarte Cross), HEFTIG, and Epifyse.
In addition to playing in bands, I teach drums to students of various ages and skill levelsÂboth in my own studio in Ruinerwold and on Fridays at the Grandesco music school in Zwolle. I also conduct workshops for groups and schools and am available as a session musician for studio recordings, live performances, and fill-in work.
