1984 witnessed the development of a new way of conceiving, manufacturing, tuning and playing the acoustic drums. The innovative Tamburo drums, boasting numerous imitation attempts, stemmed from a musician's search for new and more stimulating sounds.

Combining his ten-year experience as professional drummer with his remarkable handicraft and technical know-how, Tullio Granatello focused on the stave design and began manufacturing the first sets of Tamburo Original drums.
