For more than 120 years, since Sonor founder Johannes Link started making the first military snare drums in Weißenfels/Saalle in 1875, Sonor concert and marching instruments have shaped the musical and acoustic landscape. In 1925 Sonor already employed 145 drum makers dedicated to the finest in sound and craftsmanship. After relocating to Aue in West Germany after the war Sonor continued to focus on top quality instruments and soon offered a complete range of drums, drum sets, marching instruments and Orff educational percussion. Sonor instruments have always been renowned for their excellent sound, innovative features and dedication to quality in every detail.
