Jazz drummer Wim Kegel (The Hague, 1967) studied with Henk van den Berg, Joe Morello, and Bob Moses. He gratuated cum laude from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague in May 1991.
Wim Kegel has worked with Ad Colen, Heleen Schuttevaêr, Tine Schneider, Special Delivery, Udo van Boven / Philip Harper 4tet, Contraband, Major League, and Tilmar Junius Trio among others.
Wim Kegel has also played live with Dave Liebman (Miles Davis, Elvin Jones), Bob en Chuck Findley, John Ruocco, Clark Terry, Scott Hamilton,
Conte Condoly, Frans Elsen, Ruud Brink, Ack v Rooyen, Lew Tabackin, Tony Overwater, Joris Teepe, Michiel Borstlap, Paul Jeffrey (Thelonious Monk), Valery Ponomarev (Jazz Messengers), Cliff Adams (Kool and the Gang), Maarten Ornstein, Rob v Kreeveld, Toon Roos, Marc v Roon, Hans Dulfer, Thijs van Leer and more.
Early 2006 saw Wim Kegel recording the third album with Tony Overwater Trio.
