Wayne Campbell was longtime drummer in legendary Australian metal band Mortal Sin. He co-formed the band in 1985. They broke up several times but reunited again as well.
On March 5, 2004 the band played their first gig in many years at the Annandale Hotel in Sydney.
Mortal Sin's revamped lineup featured original members Mat Maurer on vocals, Wayne Campbell on drums, and Andy Eftichiou on bass, alongside ex-Addictive guitarists Joe Buttigieg and Mick Sultana.
Soon after the band started writing material for their new album, "Far From Extinction", out in 2005. It was the first studio recording since 1996. Meanwhile they were about to release a DVD containing the complete 5 March concert.
April 2005 saw the departure of Wayne Campbell. He was replaced by Luke Cook.
