Leading Brazilian drummer Vera Figueiredo is a a true ambassador for the Brazilian Music.
She has toured Scotland, Northern Ireland, England, Wales, Mexico, Chile, Italy, Luxemburg, Spain, Portugal, Argentina and the United States ministering workshops, master classes, and shows.
Vera Figueiredo has also being playing at some very important drum set oriented events such as: The Percfest Memorial Naco (Italy), The Ultimate Drummers Weekend (Australia), The Mendoza International Drum Fest and The Festival de Percusión Patagonia (Argentina), The Cape Breton International Drum Fest (Canada), The AGP Drum Event (Luxemburg), The KOSA International Drum Event (USA), PercuSonidos Festival Internacional de Percusiones (Mexico), The Drum Fest – Festival Internacional de Bateria y Percusíon (Chile) and The Days of Percussion (Sweden).
In 1990, Vera Figueiredo founded the Instituto de Bateria Vera Figueiredo (IBVF), a drum set institute located in São Paulo. The IBVF also organizes events such as the Batuka! International Drum Festival, one of the most important events of the Brazilian musical scene since 1996.
Vera Figueiredo's third cd, 'Vera Cruz Island' (Rainbow records), indicates this matured moment in her craft as a player and a composer: “Vera Cruz Island is like a photo album of Vera’s soul: intense, full of beautiful landscapes and very passionate for her art!”

Previously Vera had released the albums: “From Brazil” (Camerati 1995) and “Vera Figueiredo e Convidados” – Vera Figueiredo and Guests – (Baratos e Afins-1990).
While not playing instrumental music with her own band, Vera Figueiredo plays with The Banda Altas Horas, on the Altas Horas TV Show of The Globo TV Network, The Avon’s Orchestra accompanying artists such as Diana King, Zélia Duncan, Milton Nascimento, Rita Lee, Leila Pinheiro, Margareth Menezes, among others.
A single dvd with Vera’s instructional videos “Ritmos Afro-Brasileiros” and “Influência Afro-Cubana” was released, now with English subtitles by the Aprenda Música Productions.
Vera can also be seen at The Ultimate Drummers Weekend 11th Birthday dvd, playing along with Thomas Lang, John Blackwell Jr., Jimmy DeGrasso, Andrew Gander, Gustavo Meli and some other world class drummers.
In February 2009 Vera Figueiredo teamed up with Daniel Oliveira and released 'Vera Cruz Island', a book and double cd package with guest appearances by Dave Weckl and Dennis Chambers.
