Independent drumming artist Tyrel McCoy was born in Camden NJ and raised in NY, Newark NJ, and Philadelphia. He's a professional drummer and percussion player. Tyrel McCoy has been playing the drums since he was 15 years old: "I started banging on buckets, then eventually playing at church and for different groups and community choirs. In the begining I really sucked I remember people would laugh and say you can't play! It hurt but it made me what I am today."
