With an interest in percussion going back to the age of four, Tre Balfour started getting serious with drum set and percussion during his high school years in Oklahoma City. Tre studied privately with the area's most prominent percussion educators, K. Dean Walker & Paul Bowman. After college, he hit the music circuit in full force and, in time, became Oklahoma City's first call drummer/percussionist.
Upon re-locating to California, Tre Balfour found himself recording and or touring with Color Me Badd, All-4-One, Bennie Maupin, Michael Bolton, Disneyland's "Lion King" Parade and many others.
In 1999 Tre Balfour decided to give back to the drumming world during his time away from the road and teach at Little Rock High School in Palmdale, CA. Shaping young minds with his philosophy of "Life Through Drumming & Drumming Through Life", the school's music program has proven to be at the top of their game. Both Tre Balfour's drumline and indoor marching percussion ensemble have taken home many medals and trophies in competition.
