Travis Jackson is probaby best known as former drummer for Washington DC's punk greats the Points. He also founded DC rock label Windian Records in 2010, releasing recordings from local bands the Shirks, the Electricutions and the swan-song single from his own group, the Points.
Fans knew the Points for their ferocious live shows fueled by Travis Jackson's pummeling drumming. The trio made righteous noise at various venues across the city and served as the unofficial house band at Fight Club, a D.I.Y. show space near the Washington Convention Center.
Travis Jackson, who worked in construction, was struck on the job in a collision on Suitland Parkway on January 15, 2014. Travis died at 34.
