Toshiki Hata is best known as drummer in Japanese rock band Tokyo Jihen (meaning Tokyo Incidents).
Toshiki Hata has played the drums and percussion as a session musician and a tour musician of various artists, such as Mika Nakashima (2002, 2004, 2005), Dreams Come True (2008 in recording), Fujifabric (2009).
Moreover, Toshiki Hata was the drummer in the band of Junpei Shiina, Tokyo Jihen's vocalist Ringo Shiina's elder brother.
Toshiki Hata still supports the band Scoop, of which he was a member before, and he also formed the band; Kotoho with Hideaki Yamazaki (ex-Scoop, a bassist of School Food Punishment).
Toshiki Hata also plays drums on two songs found on the 2010 album by Fuji Fabric. He was also manning drums on Fuji Fabric's Chronicle Tour.
Factoid: In February 2011 Toshiki Hata was arrested for allegedly attacking a police officer on duty.
