Tommy Viator drummed in death metal act Disincarnate which also featured well-known guitarist James Murphy. He also played in Acid Bath, Shrum and Astaroth.
More recently Viator played in Louisiana-based black metallers Suffer, until he decided to leave in May 2004. He was replaced by drummer Dan Flarry (ex-13South).
Viator's now-defunct side-project Shrum, featuring the Acid bath bassist Audie Pitrereleased their long-awaited "Red Devils and Purple Ringers" CD through Northern Blaze Records in 2004.
