Tipi initially played drums in Finnish gothic metal band Vanguard. When Vanguard's bass player O.D. left the band in January 2006, drummer Tipi took over the role of bassist. The band recruited Tonmi Lillman (ex-To/Die/For, Sinergy, Hateframe, Kylähullut) as their new sticksman.
