In 1970 Terry Chimes started to play drums at the age of 15. The early line-up of Bittish punk band The Clash was completed by drummer Terry Chimes. But he left early in 1976, his services were called upon intermittently during the following years.
Terry Chimes was replaced by Nick "Topper" Headon, who had been drumming with Pat Travers in Europe since his stint in the London SS.
Terry Chimes was also drummer for Black Sabbath from summer of 1987 through the spring of 1988.
