Terreon Gully is an exceptional musician whose voice of choice is drumset. As a diverse musician, he performs a variety of musical styles: straight ahead, funk, fusion, Afro-Cuban, big band, drum and bass, rhythm and blues, hip hop, pop, and gospel. As such he is one of the most in demand drummers in the world today. Terreon is currently balancing three regular gigs; two with two of the biggest names in modern Jazz and one with the hottest band on the Latin Pop scene today. Terreon is a member of virtuoso vibraphonist Stefon Harris' Blackout band, a long time collaborator with bass master Christian McBride and also a member of the outrageous Latin/Pop/Jazz/Funk Big Band "Yerba Buena" an incredible band that just has to be seen to be believed.
Based in New York City since 1998, Terreon Gully performs in a variety of musical settings. He is known for his artistic ability is exemplified in his authenticity and versatility. From jazz legends to the hottest hip hop icons; Terreon has worked with the best. In addition to the Christian McBride Band, Stefon Harris and Yerba Buena, Terreon has performed, toured, and recorded with many artists including the Benny Green Trio, Charlie Hunter, Real Live Band, Diane Reeves, Abbey Lincoln, Marc Cary, Russell Gunn, Lizz Wright, Jackie Terrasson, and Common as well as a host of other artists. In addition to live performances, Terreon is known for his work in the studio, recording for albums, films, and commercials.
