Swedish band The Ark was formed in August 1991 by Ola Salo, Jepson and Leari. The drummer at the time was a guy named Magnus Olsson.



In 1992 drummer Magnus Olsson got the boot since he moved away from town due to starting his Agricultural studies. In his place Martin Rosengardten stepped in.



Somewhere around 1997 Martin Rosengardten was replaced by Sylvester Schlegel, an old friend from the band, who used to play in a band called "Tambureens". Sylvester never left and still drums in The Ark.
