Born as Stian Lindaas Kristoffersen in Porsgrunn, Norway, Stian got his first drum kit at the age of five as a christmas present from his parents. This was the start of an long and winding journey of percussion and drums.

Stian and Steinar sticked together through lots of different bands until 1992, when Steinar moved to Oslo and joined Spiral Architect. Their last band was technical metal act King's Quest (1988-1992).
Stian Kristoffersen joined Sunset Strip in 1993 together with Nils and Thorstein, which became Silverspoon and finally Pagan's Mind in 2000. In 1998 Stian also joined prog metal act Trivial Act, in which he still drums as well.
