In 1995 Stefan Neuhaus was founding member and original drummer of Swiss melodic metallers Emerald. Previously Neuhaus had played with Oppress.



In 2001 Neuhaus left the band. Because of his family and his job, he had not enough time and interest in Emerald anymore. A replacement was found after a long search in Andy Bächler from Rechthalten, Switzerland.
