Sotiris Ntouvas was born in 1982 and has been playing the drums from a young age on. As a teenager he already played in blues rock and metal bands, but became increasingly interested in Jazz. When he was 16 he went to the “Patras” conservatory of music where he finished his studies in drums under Leonidas Pliatsikas.



In the same period he was giving drum and tabla lessons and gigging with different bands in Greece. He also performed with George Metaxas, Eva Kesselring and Spilios Kastanis. After one year of being active in musical events in Greece, Sotiris decided to expand his knowledge, and he came to Holland to study under Hans Van Oosterhout at the conservatory of Rotterdam in 2004. There he plays with different bands and musicians from Holland and house bands where he is opening different jam sessions. Besides all Sotiris is interested in odd meters and Greek - Balkan traditional music.



He is playing with “Antilogos” balkan jazz band and of course in the trio of Soo Cho.
