In 2007 Korean drummer Kwon Soon Keun became a worldwide YouTube sensation when someone posted 'Korean Drummer Steals The Show' on YouTube.



Kwon's passion for drumming had begun 58 years ago as a young Korean boy. His small ambition to help his parents turned him into a celebrity back in Korea, having played in a renowned 1960s Korean rock band ADD-4 (ADD-K).



Shortly after, he had immigrated to Canada and had lost his spotlight. He struggled living as a Korean-Canadian but never gave up playing. After long years of living a low-profile immigrant life, his passion for drumming had finally paid off when the internet generation has found him.



In 2010 the short documentary 'A Drummer's Passion', directed by Mingu Kim, follows Kwon Soon Keun and his eccentric over the top drumming.
