Shauney "Baby" was born as LaShaune Sherice Dandy in Washington, DC. She majored in vocal performance at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. She also grew up studying acting through the DC Arts Program. She grew up around music and is multi-talented.



She was given the gift of music at an early age as her father was a founding member of the R&B group “The Delfonics”. Later on Shauney accepted an academic music scholarship to the University of the District of Columbia where she majored in percussive studies.



During college Shauney started touring with various artists such as Salt N' Pepa, Cree Summer, Paulina Rubio and many others. She has also worked with Nicole Scherzinger, Zank, Nikka Costa, DJ Mark Ronson, Nate Dogg, Andrae and Sandra Crouch, 112, TruthHurts, Siedah Garrett, Robin Thicke, The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show, Eric B & Rakim, Ginuwine, Roseanne Barr - Domestic Goddess TV Show, Gerald Levert plus Chris and Thomas.



After moving to Los Angeles she appeared as drummer for the FOX Television's The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show and BET's Lyric Café plus she was featured as the drummer in videos for Sting, Kylie and Hilary Duff.



Shauney is known as the drummer for the Pussycat Dolls. In 2008 she was the drummer for Will.I.Am. She also played drums for multi platinum recording artist Hilary Duff and is making waves in the media as one of the most powerful female drummers in the industry.



Currently residing in Los Angeles, Shauney is endorsed by a number of companies such as Tama Drums, Pro-Mark sticks, Meinl Cymbals and Remo drumheads.



Shauney is married to Andre Recke. Hence her official name is now Shauney Sherice Recke.
