Ryan Murphy joined Ensign after initial drummer Chris Ross departed late 1996. Murphy has previously played with Undertow.



In 1999 drummer Ryan Murphy announced his retirement from the Ensign ranks. Ryan's departure was a blow to the band; having become fond of him over the last few years. But the band had no plans to slow down and fortunately John O'Neill sat down behind the drum kit.
