Ron Reyes initially played in The Tourists, the band that would later be renamed in Redd Kross. Drummer Ron Reyes was asked by Steve and Jeff McDonald to join them in 1978, and so was guitarist and schoolmate Greg Hetson.



In 1980 Hetson decided to leave and join the Circle Jerks. Taht same year Reyes departed as well to join Black Flag.
