Roger Vasquez was percussionist in Ill Niño, the New Jersey nu-metal act with substantial Latin heritage. The Latin influence on Ill Niño's debut was mostly confined to some interesting percussive rhythms from Roger Vasquez. Yet he was replaced by Daniel Couto on the band's sophomore album "Confessions".
Vasquez joined Soulfly guitarist Marc Rizzo on his 2005 solo effort "COlossal Myopia", delivering some beautiful percussion parts to it.
