Robin Goodridge is best known as drummer in British post-grunge music band Bush.



Robin James Goodridge was born on September 10th, 1966. He was raised in a small town near Gilford in England. Growin up, he looked up to his older brother Steven, who was a drummer. When his brother left home, he left behind his drum kit. The younger Goodridge saw his opportunity, took the pointers his brother had taught him, and learned the rest by trial and error. The Who's drummer Keith Moon was a big influence. Throughout his teens and twenties, Robin held down odd jobs, but kept returning to music.



Before becoming a member of Bush, Robin split his time between the retro club act, The Beautiful People (who produced a passingly noticed album called If 60's Were 90's a couple years ago), and decorating and painting people's homes.



Previously he had played with The Bunch and Soul Family Sensation (mid-1990s).



Robin was the last one to join the band. Bush started with a temporary drummer. The story is, Robin happened to be at one of their earliest shows. He was impressed by the music, but wasn't with the drummer. So after a few drinks, he went backstage to tell Gavin Rossdale and his bandmates what he thought of their drummer. The next thing you know, Robin was in Bush.

In September 2005 Goodridge showed up in London-based band called Ellis.



2008 saw Robin temporarily replace Stone God sticksman Ed Graham.
