Recording session player, three-time Grammy nominee, global performer and educator/clinician Roberto Serrano is a highly recognized drummer and percussionist. He has worked and recorded with many notable musicians and producers including Kiko Cibrian, Neil Kernon, Tony Battaglia, Memo Gil, Jesús Flores, Etore Grenci, to name a few.
Among the major awards Roberto Serrano has received are the Mayor and Council of El Paso Texas, Berklee College of Music (World Tour Scholarship), SUTM (the Mexican Music Workers Union), the Honduras and Costa Rica Teleton organization and Best 2003-2004 and Best 2007-2008 Teacher by I.T.E.S.M (Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey).
Roberto Serrano performs many musical genres, including jazz, rock, American folk, and ballroom as well as concert hall music. He has also worked on movie soundtracks and theater scores. He has also performed for the Percussive Art Society (PAS) on several occasions.
Roberto Serrano recorded on the two ARPA Award winners (Album of the Year 2006 and Best Production) and Grammy 2006 nominated album ' El aire de tu casa' from Jesus Adrian Romero.
