Rob Koene (Hoogeveen, 1979) plays the drums in Dutch metallers Massive Assault since he co-formed the band in the summer of 2002, along with Ferdy Doldersum (ex-guitarplayer of Absorbed). Previously Koene hit the skins in Bludgeoned. On the Massive Assault website Koene states:

"I started playing drums cause people around me were making music, (you know what they say, people who you hang out with , infect you). I liked the noize and said why not. I started it when I was 16, just for fun. After a while I became more serious and started playing with other musicians, you can see I am still progressing."
