Finnish drummer Risto Niinikoski (Kuusankoski, 1979) has worked with artists such as Hanna Pakarinen (Eurovision Song Contest), telex, Johanna Kurkela, Sakari Kuosmaisen, plus he is drummer in the houseband for the popular tv programme 'Tartu Mikkiin' (Grab The Mic). He also drummed with Fantasiassa, Tobyssä, and Rymäkässä.



Risto Niinikoski got his first drums set at age fifteen, and received lessons from Risto Taavitsainen, followd by a music study in college and percussion at Turku Conservatory.



Risto Niinikoski moved to Helsinki in 2001, and graduated from Helsinki Polytechnic Stadia as music pedagogue in 2006. Risto Niinikoski currently teaches drumming in North Karelia Polytechnic.
