Ray Weston was born in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to London England in 1976 after playing with local bands around Scotland.
"When I moved to London I decided the only way to get started was to go for as many auditions and play with as many muso's as I could...I played with several bands, many signed by record labels and some not. This got me into recording and getting a taste for studio work."
Over the years Ray has played with many groups and top recording artists, such as. Tom Jones, Bjork, Ultravox, T'pau, Mikck Jones(The Clash), Bill Wyman, The Bay City Rollers, Del Shannon, Peter Green(Fleetwood Mac}, Steve Howe(Yes), Rolf Harris, Belinda Carlisle, and Right Said Fred.
Ray was invited to play on the Strange Affair album by Martin Turner. "I knew Martin from some years earlier when he was working on a solo project".
Musicial influences are extensive. But The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Stevie Wonder gave me a lot of inspiration. "I've learned so much from many drummers. From Ringo to Buddy Rich. And just about everyone in between."
