Percussionist Ramsés Araya played with Robert Blades (alongside Carlomagnoa Araya).
Ramses Araya was finalist in the 2000 Thelonious Monk International Afro-Latin Jazz Hand Drum Competition.
Previously, around the mid-nineties, Araya played in a trio called In Tempo, which included Cuban bassist Carlos del Pino, at the time residing in Costa Rica, and pianist, composer and piano teacher Luis Monge.
