David Kinkade is a metal drummer who is notable for touring with Malevolent Creation in 2005/2006, playing with Borknagar, and Soulfly. He has also drummed for bands such as Council of the Fallen, Divine Empire (featuring ex-Malevolent Creation bassist/vocalist Jason Blachowicz), D.O.T.A.C., and Insatanity. Dave Kinkade's own main project is called Monarch.
During October 2008, Norwegian band Borknagar announced David Kinkade had replaced Asgeir Mickelson as drummer.
Around the same time, David Kinkade also started drumming with the American death metal band Arsis. However, with the reinclusion of original drummer Michael Van Dyne into the band Arsis, as announced in April 2009, Kinkade was no longer a permanent member of that band, but is still a possible candidate in performing drums live with Arsis
