Renato Galv Santos is a highly versatile and influential Brazilian drummer, musician, and music producer. Known for his deep groove and signature delivery, he acts as a prominent figure in the contemporary Música Popular Brasileira (MPB) and instrumental jazz scenes.

Born in Brasília and raised in Rio de Janeiro, son of bassist and producer Nema Antunes, Renato grew up musically influenced by the backstage of Rio's music scene. As a child, he had contact with important MPB artists and bands such as Batacotô, Ivan Lins, Djavan, Gilberto Gil, Rosa Passos, Leny Andrade, among others. As a drummer, Renato considers names like Erivelton Silva, Téo Lima, Jorginho Gomes, Carlos Bala, and William Kennedy as his first school.
Beyond the groove, Renato carries in his DNA a depth of listening combined with an expressive and signature delivery.
His sound is the result of the fusion of languages absorbed since his musical childhood, an early career filled with connections and achievements in Brasília, up to the current moment in which he maintains an internationally projected career.
Today Renato Galv Santos acts as a collaborative artist/producer (sideman/session drummer/producer) on stage and records for artists such as: Ellen Oléria, Michael Pipoquinha, QueOnda, Vanessa Moreno, Wilson Bebel, and others.
