Pierre Bouwens (1971) was 9-years-old when he climbed behind a drumkit for the first time. After a few years of lessons he got his first band. Bouwens recalls:

"It was mostly fast and loud. At that time not my style. I got the chance to play in more bands which really worked out for me."

Those bands were Halcyon, Fool's Paradise and Gallowmere. In 1999 Pierre Bouwens joined Nodal Point, claiming it was love at first sight. Bouwens names Virgil Donati and Mike Portnoy as inspiring drummers.
