Petri Sankala plays drums in For My Pain..., the Finnish gothic metal band featuring Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish) on keyboards, Lauri Tuohimaa (Embraze) on guitar, Olli-Pekka Törrö and Altti Veteläinen (both ex-Eternal Tears of Sorrow) on guitar ansd bass and Juha Kylmänen (Reflexion) on vocals.



Petri Sankala was already familiar with Törrö and Veteläinen as he also plays drums in Eternal Tears of Sorrow.



He first joined the band in 1999. When Eternal Tears Of Sorrow was reactivated early 2006, Petri Sankala once again occupied the drum throne.



Sankala also plays/played in the bands Scyron and Kalmah.



Petri Sankala started to play drums at age of eight.
