Two days after Siouxsie & the Banshees started their promotion tour for their second album "Join Hands" in 1979, drummer John McKay abruptly departed.
Budgie (real name: Peter Clarke), known as drummer for Big in Japan, was enlisted to fill the void. Budgie became a permanent member of Siouxsie & the Banshees, and remained with the group throughout the duration of their career, until they stopped in 1996.
