Peter Barnevic was the original drummer in Incantation. He joined the band early 1990, leaving the band Decay. The early lineup was very enthusiastic about writing the heaviest most aggressive and fastest, brutal death metal.



In June, 1990 Incantation recorded their first official demo, entitled Demo #1 1990. Also the "Entrantment of Evil"- 7” was recorded, and these recordings did way better than expected by the band. Peter Barnevic is probably an underrated member of Incantation, most likely due to the fact that he left the band soon after the recording of the demo..



After Peter Barnevic had left the band in the second half of 1990, Incantation was on the hunt for a new drummer. So the band put another ad and shortly after got a reply from Jim Roe. After they rehearsed with Jim on drums, all members thought Jim fit in the band perfectly.
