Per Möller Jensen is a Danish drummer in the Swedish thrash metal band The Haunted. Previously he played drums in Invocator, Konkhra, and Nightrage among others.
Per grew up with Slayer and Exodus. Per tells: "Obviously thrash metal wise my two major influences are Tom Hunting and Dave Lombardo. That’s the two drummers who probably shaped my playing and still are. I still enjoy listening to each drummer. But I listen to a lot of jazz here at home: Coltrane and a lot of sixties jazz music where you can find some really fine drummers. So to name names: Tony Williams, Elvin Jones, Tom Hunting, Dave Lombardo, Tommy Lee, Dave Grohl, Bill Ward, Dou Dou Ndiaye Rose. And, of course, Gene Hoglan. I discovered him a little later in the late eighties with Dark Angel. Gene Hoglan is incredible."
Per Jensen himself is quite incredible too, when you listen to his drumming in bands like Invocator and The Haunted. Using pseudonym "Frank Hellmet" Jensen also drums on "The Second Coming", an album by Daemon featuring Konkhra frontman Anders Lundemark and Hellacopters/Entombed frontman Nicke Andersson.
"The Second Coming" is loaded with a 'hellish' death’n’roll style of metal. Ferrocious, blasting and at times almost grinding. Released in 1999, it almost immediately received positive reviews. For example, UK-magazine Terrorizer wrote: "[S]till as pissed off as ever, pumping out nine more tracks of stripped down mayhem like their very lives depended on it. Rock and Roll never sounded so dirty!" Metal Hammer stated: "This is a filthy, savage, arrogant, in-your-face collection of hate filled anthems, and it rules!"
Per M. Jensen was also a sessiondrummer for the band Artillery and stand-in for Konkhra's drummer Chris Kontos on an European tour.
