Actor Patrick Wilson was born as Patrick Joseph Wilson in Norfolk, Virginia in 1973. Patrick also plays drums in Van Wilson, a Van Halen cover band with his brothers Mark and Paul Wilson. In addition to their favorite Van Halen tracks, the brothers also apparently drop in some Journey and Bon Jovi, as well as the occasional original or country song.
Patrick Wilson has spent years singing lead roles in major Broadway musicals, beginning in 1996. In 2003, he appeared in the HBO mini-series Angels in America. Patrick Wilson has appeared in more than 18 feature films, including The Alamo, The Phantom of the Opera with Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler, 2006's Little Children (opposite Kate Winslet), the 2009 film Watchmen, the 2010 film The A-Team, the 2011 film The Ledge, and Insidious among others. He has been nominated for several acting awards.
He stars in the CBS drama A Gifted Man, which began in fall 2011.
